Prescot & Whiston out of Knowsley

Sign the petition. This is to call upon the Boundary Commission and the Government to take Prescot and Whiston out of the Borough of Knowsley. One idea would be to create a new local authority based on all the people living in areas with the L34, L35 and WA8 postcodes.
This e-petition has been rejected with the following reason given:
E-petitions cannot be used to request action on issues that are outside the responsibility of the government. This includes:

This is a matter for the Boundary Commission for England which is independent of Government. The BCE is currently conducting a consultation into its latest Boundary review and would welcome comments from members of the public. Please visit the BCE website for further information. Following the conclusion of the consultation process and the publication of the final plans for the new boundaries, we will be able to consider publishing e-petitions on the issue. At that point, you may want to consier resubmitting your e-petition.
