National Energy Production via Underground Coal Gasification

Sustainable technologies are still in their infancy, we need a minimal carbon technology to produce energy while such technologies develop. Underground coal gasification can produce energy for the UK for at least the next century and in a manner in which CO2 can be captured and stored underground.
The government should adopt this as their primary energy production strategy, developing the industry and creating thousands of jobs while providing energy security to the UK for years to come.
